Chris Wood at Airtrix has been our exclusive painter for years. Why? He’s the best, period. Not only does he paint ALL the Red Bull helmets, just about every kewl doode in AMA has one fo his lids. He has painted all of our Tribute Bikes, is putting the finishing touches on my personal helmet now too!

When we HAD to have perfection. when there was no choice but the best there is, we chose him again to paint the bikes we built for Transformers 2 – Revenge of the Fallen.

Need a helmet? Corporate logo? Go see him here

Arcee….. And the winner is

I wanted to take a minute to end the speculation about what really makes up Arcee…

No buell… never was. Quite frankly, I never thought of Arcee as overweight and under powered! Svlete and sexy or muscular and ready to rock, but not loud and slow!

The Pink bike is a Ducati 848, The Blue is a Suzki B-king. The purple is another bike, but she gets.. well see the movie, and you know what happens…

Ill be posting all the updates and the goings on. There will be several showing of the bikes in public and in magazines…

It won’t just be good and evil battling it out in the upcoming ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ movie, but motorcycle manufacturers trying to get their brand on the big screen.

Following in the tire tracks of auto makers, the motorcycle industry has been working hard to get their fair share of screen time with the latest coming in one of the most anticipated movies of the summer.

But as with most things in Hollywood, who or what will appear in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen depends on what you read and who is to believed.

For those still not in the know, a Transformer is an alien robot that disguises itself by transforming into everyday mechanical objects such as trucks, cars, military jets and now, motorcycles.

To date four possibilities have cruised into the rumor mill that surrounds the pre-release media hype. The earliest news that America’s favorite two-wheeled pastime would be used for a Transformer came last year from a story in the Ventura County Star.
Published on June 15th, 2008 the story interviews custom motorcycle builder, Will Kenefick who builds unique sportsbikes at his shop RetroSBK in Camarillo, California. In the article Kenefick discusses how he and his company was asked to build six motorcycles for the “Transformers” movie sequel, and details time on the set.

In May on Edmunds Inside Line website, Ducati was credited with being a major motorcycle role with the Hypermotard fighting for good and being one of three that create Arcee, a female Autobot to stop the Decepticons as they return to Earth.

But Hollywood rarely strays far from Harley-Davidson, who reportedly also has one of its Buell brand motorcycles mentioned as making up the transformer Arcee. Arcee, who wears purple-pink has been said to be a Buell Firebolt when she isn’t a robot. The website Faster and Faster even features a before and after picture of the transformer.

Finally, the marketing is in full swing at the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia with a well-publicized appearance at last weekend’s AMA Pro Daytona SportBike at Road America in Wisconsin. Aprilia used the used the race to unveil fresh new livery for the RSV 1000 Factory race bike ridden by Ben Thompson, who currently sits 22nd in the points standings and finished in 41st position at the end of Saturday’s race and 20th on Sunday.
Enthusiasts had plenty of chances to see the bike up close, on the track, online and will be able to watch it during a future segment of AMA Pro Prime Time on SpeedTV.

The rider, Ben Thompson even wore a specially designed and painted helmet to promote the upcoming transformers movie.

Regardless which brand appears where, motorcycles will play a major role in ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ with co-star Megan Fox’s character working at a custom motorcycle shop. Not only have publicity pictures been released showing her and fellow actor Shia LaBeouf riding an Aprilia motorcycle, but a shot of Fox draped over a bike has burned through cyberspace garnering enthusiastic comments from the movie’s biggest demographic, young men.

However, it appears from a recent interview that the only place Fox would be on a motorcycle in real life would be on the back as a passenger.

“I am supposed to ride one in the movie but I can’t actually ride one so they are going to have someone push me on it into the frame. We did that already but I think we are going to have to re-shoot it because it did not look very realistic,” Fox said in an interview.

All the manufacturers mentioned could easily share screen time, with custom bike builder Kenefick making the motorcycles needed for special effects and featuring moving, changing parts.

But judging from the fans reaction at the movie’s different premiers around the world, no one will be watching the screen for which motorcycle has the most screen time, rather firmly focused on the wildly popular Megan Fox.

The movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen appears in theaters nationwide on June 26th.

BTW, No HyperMotard in this movie boys…

Venom and Inspiration

So I was fortunate enough to get the first Ducati Streetfighter, and ride it, and film it, and take it apart, and start to rebuild it..
Kind of crazy for me to think that I took a brand new bike, the only one allowed to be ridden on US soil, and I stripped it to the bare frame. The first time I rode her, the plan started to form in my head, like a mad scientist thinking of his frankenstein… A transmutation from a cluttered compromise to a svelte vixen. Fom a hussy that wont put out, to a porn star bombshell, this bike was to be something special.

The real issue is with this article, well to be honest, with this entire story up until now, is that there is only the start, and barely a middle, and not really an end. The build process for me is one of action, and a bit less planning.. I can “see” the bike completed, even though at this point there are some holes in the picture, some blurry areas. I cant really convey that to you, as I find it VERY hard to verbalize my ideas in this area, and maybe a part of me, wants to save it all as a suprise.
Me simply having this bike pissed off some Tools at a local Ducati dealer that fancy thmeselves as custom bike builders.. More like hacks that have ripped off more people than they have helped. Sorry guys, it isnt my fault your bikes are a bit weak on vision and execution, so dont hate me for not being able to hold my tounge and kiss your ass. I dont care if you have the dealership in hollywood, well, the one closest to it..

Not to digress, but I really think this bike will be the cleanest, and best executed bike we have done to date.. Way less focus on paint and flash, WAY Retro, and very, very fast… Cant wait!

More later, Maybe
